Fastline Freight Locomotive Unveiled

Carrying its Fastline Freight livery, 56301, the first of three Fastline Class 56 locomotives is currently on test. It will be based at Fastline’s Roberts Road Depot, Doncaster. Fastline has also taken delivery of 24 FEAB 60ft container flat wagons and has been granted a Track Access Agreement by Network Rail, and Her Majesty’s Railway Inspectorate has issued a certificate of acceptance to the Fastline Railway Safety Case permitting freight operations. Fastline Freight’s first Intermodal service will operate between Doncaster and Thamesport later this year. Fastline’s entry into the freight market complements its existing competencies in the rail infrastructure market and provides a natural extension to Fastline’s existing operations.
