SPENCER, NC (WBTV) – The Big Rabbit Spencer’s NC Transportation Museum has four days of exciting activities, train rides, egg hunting and more. Families will be delighted to learn that the Easter Bunny is back on the train this year for intimate bunny encounters that will create pleasant memories.
The event will take place on April 9, 10, 15 and 16 at different times. Families can purchase regular admission tickets, which provide access to the museum grounds, exhibit buildings and include a visit with the Easter Bunny! Combination tickets with train travel are available on specially decorated Easter themed train cars.
Goes aboard the Easter Bunny and presents treats to the children. Take a leisurely 25 minute train ride around the museum’s 60-acre property and after enjoying additional activities such as crafts, inflatable games, model trains and more.
This year, for an additional fee, guests can enjoy a special meeting and greeting meal with Easter Bunny for breakfast, lunch or breakfast.
Regular admission tickets are required to purchase a meal ticket. Breakfast includes bunny shaped pancakes, sausage and a cup of fruit juice. Lunch includes bunny shaped turkey sandwiches, carrots / ranch, fruit cup and cookie with juice. Snacks include bunny mobiles, goldfish crackers and fruit cups with juice.

Professional photography packages are available during the event, but visitors are also welcome to take their own photos.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our full Easter Bunny Express event back on the Easter Bunny Passenger Train this year after departing from the train last year,” said Executive Director Kelly Alexander. “The event was canceled in 2020 and modified with reduced capacity in 2021, so we’re happy to have more families back this year to enjoy all the activities.”
Easter egg hunts are only available on April 15th and 16th. These days there are egg hunts as well as regular entry.
General admission is $ 7 for adults, $ 6 for seniors and military personnel, $ 5 for children ages 3-12 and free for children ages 2 and under. Admission and the Easter Bunny Express train ride are $ 14 for adults, $ 12 for seniors and military personnel, $ 10 for children ages 3-12 and $ 2 for children 2 and under.
Admission is free for museum members, but advance ticket reservation is encouraged. Just add the Cabos Ride to your ticket purchase on April 16 for $ 6 each at one of our historic diesel locomotives! Advance ticket purchase is encouraged.
