Multi-family units are planned next to Estrella Gin

The multi-family residential project adjacent to the Estrella Gin commercial development project on the corner of Edison Road and Wilson Avenue – promotes another part.

The property owner, Construction Solutions Company, in a pre-application article submitted by Stewart + ReindeerSma Architecture on March 8 stated that the Estrella Gin Multi-Family Residential and Commercial Development Project intends to build 162 multi-family residential units directly to the south. “The proposed project is 45535 W. 10.19 acres of vacant land on Edison Road, Zoned Light Industrial Development. In the city of Maricopa, ”said the pre-app document. “The parcel is divided into three separate parcels and each is zoneed as part of a special offering. Following the split, 8.19 acres will be zoned to RH (high-density residential) and developed into a 162-unit multi-family residential apartment complex with outdoor pool, clubhouse and surface parking.

The document states that the property will consist of five 3-story buildings approximately 40 feet high with a mix of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units. The remaining two acres will be subdivided into one acre parcels and zoneed as Neighborhood Commercial with the intention of using them as commercial pads. One of those pads was designed as a drive-through type service.

According to Nathan Steele, the city’s chief economic development officer, the long-awaited business park is welcoming its first tenants.

“Estrella Gin has a city building that plans to perform a number of different functions, including MEDA (Maricopa Economic Development Alliance), the Chamber of Commerce and various city offices,” Steel said. “It’s nearing completion and should be ready for occupancy by the end of April.”

Estrella is located about a mile south of Gin State Route 238 and west of John Wayne Parkway.

Shane Cook, project developer and MHG Commercial, said Estrella Gin’s initial building could accommodate up to 19 tenants in its 45,000 square feet. Utility work and infrastructure began last July, with work including Interior Street on the site connecting Edison and Loma Roads. The project began to grow on Earth in October.

As Estrella Gin grows, the new apartment project will provide housing for potential employees in the commercial center, which will include warehouse and industrial needs.
